DBMs provide distributed buoyancy along the length of flexible risers, umbilicals, or
pipelines.
They are comprised of multiple buoyancy elements clamped onto the riser or pipeline.
These modules are commonly used in deepwater riser systems to maintain the required
riser configuration and reduce stress on the riser.
